Sven Kamm
San Francisco born filmmaker Sven Kamm has produced and directed everything from live television to documentaries, music videos and commercials . He has won accolades in directing, screenwriting and editing. His awards include two Emmy awards for editing and the Sierra Nevada Award for best documentary “Curse of the Shaolin”. His short film “Blinders” was an international success as an official selection in over 14 film festivals worldwide. “Blinders” was chosen best of fest in the NYC short film festival and Best of Festival at the Washington D.C. Independent Film Festival. He is currently in pre-production on “The Art of Dying” and directing another episode of the superhero action comic book Omega 1. He helped finish a zombie comedy pilot “Brain Dead” with Michael Karnow and Zak Penn (Avengers, X-men), directed an anti-bulling PSA for Dell Computers, and recently was director of photography for the series “The Guest List”
Don’t get too close to the actors
Kamm began as an editor and his love for that remains strong. Working as an editor gives you an advantage on set because you know what shots you will need to make the scene work and avoid over shooting a scene. Kamm has been a editor on several television shows and has won two Emmy award editing documentaries for PBS in Los Angeles. As a writer has also won acclaim as a finalist in the Sundance screenplay competition, the Universal screenwriting competition and as a semi-finalist in the prestigious Academy Award Nicholl Fellowship screenplay competition.

Kamm’s films include “Curse of the Shaolin,” “Blinders” , “Letters from Darya” and “The Greenhouse Effect.”. Kamm is currently working on the re-dub, re-edit for the feature film”Dateomatic” He is also developing “Dept. of Heroes” and in pre-production on another feature film “The Cowboy Experience” He lives in Los Angeles, where he can be found playing beach volleyball and sailing a 27′ sloop.
